Historical Note: Arline E. Furstman served in the WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) during World War II. In the fall of 1944, she was at the Naval Station at Great Lakes, Illinois. By November 1944, Furstman had been sent to San Diego, California, and in July 1945, she was ordered to San Bruno, California. Her date of discharge from the WAVES is unknown.
